Gayton Mckenzie "Leon Schreib will share his findings today"

Minister of Department of Sports, Arts and Culture Gayton Mckenzie says that Minister of Home Affairs will share his findings today regarding the affected individuals contestants on Citizenship saga for the upcoming Miss SA event that will take place on the 10th Of August 2024.

According to Minister Gayton Mckenzie he and his team had a chat with Minister Leon Schreib regarding the matter of affected individuals contestants who the South African people asked clarity regarding their Citizenship in South Africa to qualify to enter Miss SA 2024 Pageant.

On August 06, 2024, Minister Of Home Affairs Leon Schreib said that The Department Of Home Affairs received the official request from Miss SA Pageant Organization to enquire into the Citizenship of a contestant in an upcoming event. He said the request included consent from the affected individuals.

The Minister of Home Affairs said they are working to verify and compile the required information by Miss SA Organization, he said The Department Of Home Affairs is guided by the rule of law and if transgressions are found in this case, they'll be be handled in strict accordance with legal prescripts. If transgressions are not found they will accordingly inform the requesters and they will also keep the public informed.

Minister Gayton Mckenzie says that his team will also meet with organizers of Miss SA today, 07 August 2024. And he that he have faith in The Department of Home Affairs to deal with this matter thoroughly and will revert back.
