This development is aimed at promoting official engagements while potentially facilitating business interactions, between the two countries.

The decision received responses, from the public. Many view it as a show of support for Ukraine and a nod to past solidarity during South Africas apartheid period. However there are also disagreements surrounding the move.

Vincent Magwenya, spokesperson for President Ramaphosa explained that the President has not given approval for the agreement to be signed yet implyng a gap or delay in the procedure.

Despite the announcement made earlier on about the agreements status in South Africa being finalized and signed off on by all parties involved.

President Ramaphosa's spokesperson clarified that there may still be reviews awaiting final approval from higher authorities within the government before it is fully implemented suggesting that there are additional bureaucratic procedures that need to be completed.

This agreement allowing travel, without visas is a move between South Africa and Ukraine that shows their historical unity and hopes, for future collaboration; however; its complete execution and wider consequences are yet to be revealed.
